These are not lame YouTube Videos

I made the mistake of starting the first video in the series, “Traveling on the Outskirts” the other night.

I ended up watching the entire two seasons in one sitting.

These are not lame travel videos. Jessica and Duncan studied film and their video blog is like a well made mini-reality TV show.

You can watch all of them at TravelingOntheOutskirts.com

If you want to just check it out, here is the first episode.

I’ve checked out Jessica and Duncans website a couple of weeks ago. I’m a fan and have added them to my favorites! I’m happy to see a younger couple out here living this way. :)

I know I know. I watched them all in one sitting too. Their videos inspired me to start shooting my journey.
Even though I may never post or blog them. Ha ha But, they made me think I could!
    Just like your blog!
However, I know it is not as easy as it appears and I am so GRATEFUL to you Jennifer and all those “posting without perfection”.

Well I just watched all of them. Thanks for that. I didn’t get anything done during this second half of the work day!

Kidding… it is really slow today. :0)

This just makes me want to do it even more.

I’m glad you guys have enjoyed their videos, too!

I just drove back from a Gulf Coast visit, so am going to head to sleep…

    Happy holidays!

I also spent the day off and on watching videos and reading their blog. Seems as if they just up and took off without much thought. I love it, and also sometimes wish I was more like that. its as if nothing bothers them at all. Great find! Thanks for sharing.

p.s. Here’s a link to a blog you might find interesting … check out the entry dated Jan 31, 2009 (but if you’re like me you’ll go back to the beginning and read it all). She is/was a VanDweller to get out of debt and she created her beautiful life (while dealing with the doubts/fears of her loving family members) http://freedomvan.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Thanks sooo much for the great comments guys, it really helps keep us going :) And thanks to Jennifer for posting this on your blog! I was watching our site stats and all of a sudden they went crazy!

BTW, you have no idea how hard it is to film ourselves doing this! We didn’t film the first 8 months, just kept putting it off! We were both scared and frustrated – we’d just fight about it and eventually storm off in different directions. A couple weeks would go by and we’d try it again. Eventually we figured it out but missed a lot of great opportunities to get some really great videos from our trip. :( We’re both used to being BEHIND the camera so putting ourselves up on screen is a serious challenge we’ve never faced before! Thanks again guys, we’ll keep on posting as much as we can!
